About the Portfolio

This page is a place for me to demonstrate the digital history tools and skills that I am acquiring through the Creating Digital History course at George Mason University. At the above links you will find the various projects that I complete throughout the course. As I complete the projects, they will be added to the links. Hence, all of the links will be live when the course is completed.

My Research

My area of research is Early Modern Europe. I am very interested in Christian-Muslim relations during the period. In particular, I study the diplomatic relations between France and the Ottoman Empire in the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries.

Currently, I am researching the goals of France's diplomacy with the Ottoman Empire during the reign of Henri III (1574-1589) as a way to illuminate how the French notables oriented the Ottomans in their diplomatic imagination.

I plan to expand the periodization of this project in order to turn it into a dissertation.

About My Final Project

Although I am still working out the details of my final project, I will either produce a compendium website for my paper or a brochure website for it.
